Emergency Assistance Family Shelter
Heading Home’s Emergency Assistance (EA) Shelter Program provides immediate, safe, and temporary shelter for families experiencing homelessness. The program serves as a critical entry point into the housing system, ensuring that vulnerable households have access to emergency accommodation while working toward stable, long-term housing solutions.

Supportive and Transitional Housing
Heading Home’s Supportive and Transitional Housing programs provide stable longer-term housing for formerly homeless individuals and families with disabilities. These programs ensure that homeless individuals and families have access to safe, affordable housing combined with supportive services.
Career and Financial Services
Heading Home’s Career and Financial Services (CFS) Program is a comprehensive, client-centered initiative designed to support individuals and families in achieving long-term financial stability and economic independence. Recognizing that housing stability and financial security are deeply interconnected, the CFS program provides individualized coaching and asset-building services that empower clients to strengthen their financial well-being and career pathways.
Clinical Services
Heading Home is redefining how clinical services support families experiencing homelessness through comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments that examine the needs of children, caregivers, and the family as a whole. This innovative approach enables more personalized interventions, strengthens long-term outcomes, and generates data that informs policy and advances solutions to family homelessness across Massachusetts and beyond.
