Join us alongside your company, with your kids, or as an individual on Wednesday, August 12th and help us pack backpacks for over 600 kids in our family shelters.

Your support provides a child experiencing homelessness with a brand-new, fully stocked backpack and gives them the confidence to being the school year ready to succeed.

Heading Home helps support over 600 kids with new backpacks each year. We supply the backpack, supplies and excitement. You help cover the costs of the backpacks and help us pack supplies.

Every child deserves to walk into their first day of school feeling prepared and confident – but for many children experiencing homelessness, that’s not a given. At Heading Home, more than 60% of those we serve are children with an average age of just 8, our annual Backpack Buddies event helps close that gap.

This year, we’re rallying our community to pack over 630 backpacks filled with essential school supplies helping give kids the tools they need and the confidence they deserve to start the school year strong.
