Development Director
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Development Director will help ensure the continued and successful growth of philanthropy at Heading Home. This person will oversee a small development team and work with the Heading Home staff, and Board to build on and implement strategic and operating plans to meet the agency’s fundraising goals. Responsible for overseeing development budgeting process and meeting the department’s budget targets. Qualified candidate will be a people oriented professional with strong writing, computer, interpersonal and organizational skills essential; ability to work independently & in team. Qualifications: BA/BS; w/3-5 yrs exp.
Case Manager- Scattered Site Family Shelter
Duties include: Supporting individual service plans for each client, crisis management, serve as liaison between Shelter and landlords of apartment, trouble shoot facilities related issues. Strong, writing, computer, interpersonal and organizational skills essential; ability to work independently & in team, bilingual skills a plus. Qualifications: BA required, MA preferred. Valid Driver’s license and car required.
Program Coordinator- Scattered Site Family Shelter
Reporting to the Program Manager the Qualified candidate will oversee the Housing Search efforts of the Scattered Site Family Shelter while also providing housing search services to a small case load of homeless families living in the Greater Boston community. The Housing Search Coordinator will also provide assistance to the Program Manager with the day to day operations of the program as needed. Qualifications: BA/BS; w/3 yrs supervisory experience, and knowledge of relevant resources.
Housing Search Worker Family Scattered Site Program
Reporting to the Program Coordinator the Qualified candidate will provide housing search services to homeless families living in the Greater Boston community. The Housing Search Worker will assist homeless families with all aspects of housing search and placement into permanent housing. They will work with Clients to devise an appropriate housing search strategy, complete housing applications and prepare necessary documentation; negotiate with landlords, housing authorities, realtors, and the like. Qualifications: BA/BS; w/2 yrs related exp. preferably with the homeless population, and knowledge of relevant resources.
